The Cocalico High School library/media center specialist teaches information literacy skills to students through a completely integrated approach. Research projects at each grade level and in each subject area afford students the opportunity for introduction and reinforcement of research skills. Students are introduced to the best resources in each subject area, learn specific searching skills to make them efficient users of information, and then have time to practice and refine those skills as they complete tasks and projects for their classes. Ethical use of information is a key element emphasized through each assignment.
The Cocalico High School Library is open every Thursday that school is open during the months of September through May from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. for high school students.
